「在山谷裡的銀河。
常常會聽到星星擦身而過的聲音…
他（她）是我的誰…
風吹著，花飄著淡淡的香；
天黑的，螢火露出微微的光；
象群呼吸著，低沉的聲響，牠們互相依偎著。
如果在山谷裡你可以看到些些的憂傷，
大概是為了花榭而憂傷吧…
我看到湖裡有太陽，被星星圍繞著：
我看到湖裡有月亮，被星星保護著。
山谷裡的銀河始終沒斷過，不管白天或晚上它依然閃著暖光。」
In the galaxy in the valley
I often hear the sound of stars passing by…
Who is he (or she) to me?
The wind blows, with the fragrance of flowers in the air;
The day grows dark, and fireflies emerge;
The elephants breathe with a low humming, leaning against each other.
If you can see this sadness in the valley,
Perhaps it is because of the withering of flowers…
I see the sun in the lake, surrounded by stars;
I see the moon in the lake, guarded by stars.
The galaxy has always existed in the valley, shimmering with light, day and night.

倒映著夜空璀璨繁星的許願池、森林小動物們即將展開的冒險故事，在《魔法裡的花園》中都幻化成各具不同象徵寓意的景緻與世界觀，也意味著每個人的世界裡面都擁有一座屬於自己的花園。宇宙間循環輪迴，乃至生命間的相遇皆何等奇妙，一切的因緣際會都有著造物主美好祝福及安排。本次藝術家多元創作風格中，人與人之間因愛而生的珍貴連結，是他始終堅持傳遞的情感核心精神。
The wishing pond reflects the starry night, and the forest animals are about to embark on an adventure, transforming into different images and world views in The Magical Garden. This exhibition also conveys the concept that within the world of every individual exists a garden of their own. As the universe proceeds with an ongoing cycle, all encounters in life are nothing short of miracles that are arranged with the blessings of the Creator. Using various creative styles, the artist conveys the idea that people are connected through love.
本次2019年呂英菖全新發表創作中，藝術家以魔法花園意象作為母題，並分枝出四個各異其趣的主題：
This new 2019 work series of Lu Ying-Chang circles around the imagery of a magical garden and is separated into four themes:
肖像畫主題 The Portrait Series
透過色感上截然不同的視覺表現，每幅肖像皆蘊含強烈的自我表徵，亦強化作品間的獨特性及差異性，《魔法師的世界》以中性調的蔚藍色當底，魔法師自一片寧靜中憑空施展而生數顆魔法石，藉由色彩開闊無限想像空間。
The Portrait Series showcases different visual expressions through varying colors while each work conveys an intense manifestation of the self and difference in characteristics.
在形式上，如《月光下的女孩》呈現框外畫的概念，框代表一個空間的延伸與想像，依循畫框的立體起伏變化，為畫闢開新的視覺層次。
The World of the Magician is set on a neutral blue tone, portraying the magician producing magical stones in a tranquil scene, encouraging imagination through colors. As for form, The Girl in Moonlight is a painting that extends outside the frame, signaling that the frame represents the extension of space and imagination, adapting to the three-dimensional changes of the frame and creating a new visual layer for the work.
花園主題 The Garden Series
花園長久以來被視為藝術家創作裡十分重要的精神景致之一，對他而言，花開象徵生命最美好的狀態，並結合多種符號表現，如花朵、鑽石、草莓、鳥獸等，意味生命的繁衍與情感的寄託，也寓示某個深植藝術家心中的記憶，如《草莓森林裡的冒險》其甜蜜的用色靈感來自於慶祝母親生日的草莓波士頓派，森林宛若天下母親給人一種安全、平和的感受，故即便是現實無法共處的小熊與兔子亦建立起深厚的友誼。
The Garden Series showcases that the garden has always been a spiritual symbol in the artist’s creative career. For the artist, flower blossoms represent the best state of life, while the integration of different symbols such as flowers, diamonds, strawberries, birds, and beasts, represents the continuance of life and is the object for sentimentality while hinting to a memory deeply embedded in the mind of the artist. For instance, the sweet colors used in The Adventure in the Strawberry Forest are inspired by the strawberry Boston pie at the birthday celebration of the artist’s mother. The forest is a maternal figure that gives a sense of security and harmony, which is why the unlikely friendship between the bear cub and rabbit is possible.
夢主題 The Dream Series
擷取自藝術家的兩組夢境「馬系列」、「白晝與黑夜系列」的片段記憶。「馬系列」呈現馬匹們或聚或散地昂首看向天空之視覺意象。「白晝與黑夜系列」畫面中出現迴旋天際的各類鳥群，皆圍繞於一個核心飛舞著。夢主題以抽象運筆造勢，打造色彩斑斕的背景，其光影隨著時間推移不斷的轉換，宛若有股無形的能量釋放並支撐運行在這個小世界，持續擴張著。
The Dream Series is inspired by two dreams of the artist, the Horse Series and the Day and Night Series. The Horse Series shows a group of horses gazing at the sky, while the Day and Night Series depicts a flock of different birds circling in the sky. The Dream Series uses abstract brushstrokes and creates a colorful background with interchanging light and shadow as if sustaining the small world with an invisible, expanding force.
魔法主題 The Magic Series
靈感來自於作品元素中的想像，「魔法石」藉由形狀與顏色外在的差異，與「魔法花園」預言鳥與守護者雕塑透過再生，賦予新的精神與期許。
The Magic Series is inspired by elements of the work. The different shapes and colors of the magical stones and the magical garden predict the rebirth of birds and sculptures of guardians, transforming into new spirits and expectations.
《魔法裡的花園》一切的起始，都源於對「魔法」不可思議的想像，這些魔法元素從何而來呢？從山海俯拾的奇石、從對夢境的記錄、從平凡生活中純粹的情感封存，不間斷地汲取著靈感與養分，為讚頌生命旅途中偶然發現的美麗，藝術家呂英菖化身魔法師，透過畫筆，構築一座座充滿驚奇與想像力的烏托邦，也帶領著我們在不同的小世界中穿梭著。
The Magical Garden is inspired by the idea that everything is born from magic. Where do these magical elements come from? From the strange rocks in the oceans and mountains, documentation of dreams, and pure emotions of ordinary life. By continuing to absorb inspiration and nourishment from these sources, the artist praises the beauties that he happened upon throughout the journey of life and transforms into a magician, portraying a Utopia filled with surprises and imagination with his paintbrush, guiding us on a journey across the different worlds.
